Common Implementation Issues
Frequently Encountered Issues
Typically, most Global Assignments implementation issues are caused by skipping steps mentioned in the Implementation Handbooks ( found here ). Some notes about implementing these features-:
- You must ensure you import the picklists mentioned in the "Picklists" section of the handbook, or undesired application behavior could be encountered. Picklists are:
- global_assignment_type
- employee-status
- It is important that you first configure the feature and test it (end to end) and verify all configuration steps have been completed before adding Business Rules to the mix
- If you are using the "Automatically Ending a Global Assignment During Creation" feature, please ensure that when you create the "Global Assignment Configuration" object, you give it exactly the "Code" specified in the handbooks example - GACONFIG
- EC Alerts Business Rules to notify Subject users for End Global Assignment - Use Base Object "Employment Information" to trigger EC Alerts when creating the Global Assignment via the MSS UI (Take Action > Add Global Assignment) along with End date of assignment provided in same transaction.
